Irvine Republicans, now Greater Irvine Republicans (GIR), was founded on December 2, 2018. This was shortly after Orange County had lost all of its Congressional seats to Democrats. For the first time in history, the once very red Orange County was all blue. In response, the group formed to mobilize Republicans in Irvine and in neighboring OC cities. The mission was simple and it remains the mission today. The mission is to keep RED seats and win RED seats!
That's right! Your friends told you that we didn't exist, or that you were the only one. Well, not so fast! We of the Orange County Log Cabin Republicans are a group of men and women who live or work in Orange County, California, and who believe in limited government, personal responsibility, and a strong national defense. We are unified under the banner of equality for all Americans, including gays and lesbians.
The Orange County Young Republicans (OCYR) is an organization consisting of young professionals and political activists who are committed to a common sense approach to politics. We believe in the Republicans ideals of lower taxation, limited government, personal freedom and personal responsibility. OCYR promotes and supports the Republican Party by endorsing candidates, increasing Republican voter registration, participating in Get-Out-The-Vote efforts and encouraging our party’s youth to take a strong leadership role.
We are a Diamond Club of CFRW and NFRW. We are a very active grassroots organization that works hard fo our Republican Candidates. We also participate in giving back to our communities through the VA Hospital in Long Beach, Precious Life Shelter, Homeless Veterans, Local Law Enforcement and more. We also hold fundraisers for YAF and Turning Point USA. We are also very active with our local school boards and making our neighbors aware of the importance of parent control of our children's education.
